The Salvation Providence of God
(하나님의 구원의 섭리)
If a man curses his father or mother, his lamp will be snuffed out in pitch darkness.
(만약 사람이 그의 아버지와 어머니를 저주하면, 그의 등불이 칠흑같은 어둠 속에서 꺼지게 될 것이라.)
An inheritance quickly gained at the beginning will not be blessed at the end.
(초기에 빨리 얻어진 유산은 끝에는 축복이 되지 않을 것이니라.)
Do not say, "I'll pay you back for this wrong!" Wait for the LORD, and he will deliver you.
("내가 너의 잘못에 되갚아 주겠다!"고 말하지 말라. 여호와를 기다리라, 그리하면 그가 너를 구하실 것이라.)
The LORD detests differing weights, and dishonest scales do not please him.
(여호와는 한결같지 않은 추를 싫어하시고, 정직하지 않은 저울은 그를 기쁘시게 하지 못하느니라.)
A man's steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand his own way?
(사람의 걸음은 여호와로 인해 그 방향이 정해지도다. 그렇다면 어찌 누가 그 자신의 길을 이해할 수 있겠느냐?)
It is a trap for a man to dedicate something rashly and only later to consider his vows.
(사람이 성급하게 무언가를 서원하고는 나중에야 그의 맹세를 고려해보는 것은 인생의 덫이 되느니라.)
A wise king winnows out the wicked； he drives the threshing wheel over them.
(지혜로운 왕은 악한 자들을 키질하나니, 그는 탈곡하는 바퀴를 그들 위로 몰고 가느니라.)
The lamp of the LORD searches the spirit of a man ； it searches out his inmost being.
(여호와의 등불은 사람의 영혼을 감찰하시나니, 그 등불은 그의 내면의 깊은 존재를 감찰하시느니라.)
Love and faithfulness keep a king safe； through love his throne is made secure.
(사랑과 충실함 왕을 안전하게 유지하나니, 왜냐하면 사랑을 통하여 그의 왕좌가 안전하게 만들어지기 때문이니라.)
The glory of young men is their strength, gray hair the splendor of the old.
(젊은 사람들의 영광은 그들의 힘이며, 흰 머리카락은 늙은 사람들의 영광이니라.)
Blows and wounds cleanse away evil, and beatings purge the inmost being.
(맞아서 상처가 나야 악을 씻어내고, 매질이 가장 내면의 깊은 존재를 솎아 내느니라.)
