Prohibit Stupidity and Wickedness
(어리석음과 사악함을 금하라)
Do not speak to a fool, for he will scorn the wisdom of your words.
(어리석은 자에게 말하지 말라, 그가 너의 말의 지혜를 경멸할 것이기 때문이라.)
Do not move an ancient boundary stone or encroach on the fields of the fatherless, for their Defender is strong； he will take up their case against you.
(옛 경계석을 움지이지 말고, 아버지 없는 자들의 밭을 침범하지 말라, 그들의 방어자는 강하시고, 그는 너를 대항하여 그들의 사건을 맡드실 것이기 때문이라.)
Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to words of knowledge.
(네 마음을 교훈에 열중하며, 네 귀를 지식의 말에 열중하라.)
Do not withhold discipline from a child； if you punish him with the rod, he will not die.
(아이로부터 훈육을 자제하지 말라, 비록 네가 막대기로 그를 벌할 지라도 그가 죽지 않을 것이기 때문이라.)
Punish him with the rod and save his soul from death.
(막대기로 그를 벌하라, 그리면 그의 영혼을 죽음으로부터 살릴 것이라.)
My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad； my inmost being will rejoice when your lips speak what is right.
(네 아들아, 네 마음이 지혜롭다면, 내 마음이 기쁠 것이고, 너의 입술이 옳은 것을 말한다면, 나의 마음의 깊은 곳이 크게 즐거워할 것이니라.)
