Fear the Lord At All Times
(항상 여호와를 경외하라)
Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the LORD.
(네 마음이 죄인들을 부러워하게 말며, 항상 여호와를 경외하는데 열심을 내어라.)
There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.
(확실히 네게 미래의 희망이 있고, 네 희망이 끊어지지 아니할 것이라.)
Listen, my son, and be wise, and keep your heart on the right path.
(네 아들아, 듣고 지혜로와져라, 그리고 네 마음을 옳은 길에 유지하여라.)
Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags.
(너무 많은 포도주를 마시거나, 고기를 마구 먹는 자들과 함께하지 말라, 왜냐하면 술 취하는 자들과 폭식하는 자들은 가난해지며, 졸음이 그들을 누더기로 입힐 것이 때문이라.)
Listen to your father, who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.
(너를 낳은 네 아버지의 말을 듣고, 늙은 네 어머니를 멸시하지 말라.)
Buy the truth and do not sell it； get wisdom, discipline and understanding.
(진실을 사고 그것을 팔지 말고, 지혜와 훈육과 지식을 얻으라.)
The father of a righteous man has great joy； he who has a wise son delights in him.
(의로운 사람의 마버지는 큰 기쁨을 얻을 것이며, 지혜로운 아들을 가진 사람은 그로인해 기뻐할 것이라.)
May your father and mother be glad； may she who gave you birth rejoice!
(네 아버지와 어머니가 즐거워할 지어다, 너를 낳은 그녀가 기뻐할 지어다.)
My son, give me your heart and let your eyes keep to my ways, for a prostitute is a deep pit and a wayward wife is a narrow well.
(내 아들아 네게 네 마음을 주며, 네 눈이 내 길에서 벋어나게 하지 않게 하라, 왜냐하면 창녀는 깊은 웅덩이이며 방탕한 여인은 좁은 우물이기 때문이라.)
