Four Sorts of Vicious People
(네 종류의 악한 사람들)

“There are those who curse their fathers and do not bless their mothers；
(그들의 아버지를 저주하고 그들의 어머니를 축복하지 않은 자들이 있으며)

those who are pure in their own eyes and yet are not cleansed of their filth；
(그들 스스로의 눈에는 순수하나, 그럼에도 불구하고 그들의 더러움을 정결하게 하지 않는 자들이며)

those whose eyes are ever so haughty, whose glances are so disdainful；
(그들의 눈이 늘 너무 오만하며, 그들의 힐끗보는 눈이 너무 경멸적인 자들이며)

those whose teeth are swords and whose jaws are set with knives to devour the poor from the earth, the needy from among mankind.
(그들의 이는 검들이며, 그들의 턱은 칼들이 장착되어 땅에서 가난한 자들을, 사람들 중에서 궁핍한 자들을 삼키는 자들이니라.)

“The leech has two daughters. `Give! Give!’ they cry.
("거머리는 두 딸을 가지고 있도다. '달라! 달라!'고 그들이 외치느니라.)

“There are three things that are never satisfied, four that never say, `Enough!’: the grave, the barren womb, land, which is never satisfied with water, and fire, which never says, `Enough!’
(결코 만족하지 않는 네 가지가 있으며, 즉, 결코 '충분하다!'고 말하지 않는 네 가지가 있으니. 곧, 무덤과, 임신하지 못하는 자궁과, 결코 물에 만족하지 못하는 땅과, 결코 '충분하다!'고 말하지 않는 불이니라.)

“The eye that mocks a father, that scorns obedience to a mother, will be pecked out by the ravens of the valley, will be eaten by the vultures
(아버지를 조롱하는 눈과 어머니에 대한 순종을 멸시하는 눈은 계곡의 까마귀에 의해 쪼여 뽑힐 것이며, 독수리들에 의해 먹힐 것이니라.)
