Wife of Noble Character
(현숙한 아내)

A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
(현숙한 아내를 누가 찾을 수 있을까? 그녀는 루비보다 훨씬 더 가치가 있느니라.)

Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
(그녀의 남편은 그녀에 대한 신뢰로 가득하고 귀한 것이 아무것도 부족하지 않느니라.)

She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.
(그녀는 그녀의 평생에 그에게 해를 끼치지 않고 유익을 끼치느니라. 그녀는 양모와 아마를 고르며 부지런히 손으로 일을 하느니라.)

She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.
(그녀는 무역상의 배와 같으니, 먼 곳에서부터 그녀의 음식을 가져오느라.)

She gets up while it is still dark； she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls.
(그녀는 아직 어두울 때에 일어나며, 그녀의 가족들에게 음식을 제공하며, 그녀의 여종들에게 할 일을 정해 주느니라.)

She considers a field and buys it； out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
(그녀는 밭을 잘 살펴보아서 그것을 사고, 그녀의 수입으로부터 포도원을 심느니라.)

She sets about her work vigorously； her arms are strong for her tasks.
(그녀는 그녀의 일을 힘차게 시작하며, 그녀의 팔은 그녀의 일을 하기에 강하도다.)

She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.
(그녀는 그녀의 무역이 이익이 되는 것을 알고, 그녀의 등불이 밤에 꺼지지 않느니라.)

In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
(손에 그녀는 실패를 쥐고 그녀의 손가락으로 실 감는 가락을 잡느니라.)

She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
(그녀는 가난한 자들에게 그녀의 팔을 열고 궁핍한 자들에게 그녀의 손을 뻗느니라.)

When it snows, she has no fear for her household； for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
(눈이 올 때, 그녀는 그녀의 가정을 위해 두려운 것이 없으니, 그들 모두를 위해 홍색 옷을 입히기 때문이니라.)

She makes coverings for her bed； she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
(그녀는 그녀의 침대를 위해 덮개들을 만들고, 세마포와 자색 옷을 입느니라.)

Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
(그녀의 남편은 성문에서 존경을 받으니, 그곳에서 그가 그 땅의 원로들 사이에서 자리를 차지하느니라.)

She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.
(그녀는 베 옷을 만들어 팔고, 띠를 만들어 상인들에게 공급하느니라.)

She is clothed with strength and dignity； she can laugh at the days to come.
(그녀는 힘과 존엄으로 옷을 입으니, 다가올 날을 웃을 수 있느니라.)

She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
(그녀는 지혜롭게 말하며, 충실한 가르침이 그녀의 혀에 있느니라.)

She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
(그녀는 그녀의 집안 일들을 보살피고, 게으름의 빵을 먹지 않느니라.)

Her children arise and call her blessed； her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
(그녀의 아이들은 일어나 그녀가 축복을 받았다고 부르며, 그녀의 남편 또한 그러하니, 그가 그녀를 칭찬하여, “많은 여인들이 고귀한 일을 하나, 당신은 그를 모두를 능가하느니라.”고 말하느니라.

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting； but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
(매력도 거짓되고, 아름다움도 순간이나, 여호와를 두려워하는 여인은 칭찬을 받을 것이니라.)

Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
(그녀가 벌어들인 보상을 그녀에게 주고, 그녀의 일들이 성문에서 그녀에게 칭찬을 가져오게 하라.)
