The Beauty of the City of Zion
(시온 성의 아름다움)
Great is the LORD, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy mountain.
(우리 하나님이 계신 성, 그의 거룩한 산에서 여호와는 위대하시며 지극히 찬양 받으실 분이십니다.)
It is beautiful in its loftiness, the joy of the whole earth.
(그 높고 드높은 모습은 아름답고, 온 땅의 기쁨입니다.)
Like the utmost heights of Zaphon is Mount Zion, the city of the Great King.
(큰 왕의 도성인 시온 산은 북방의 가장 높은 산과도 같습니다.)
God is in her citadels； he has shown himself to be her fortress.
(하나님께서 그 요새 가운데 계시며, 친히 그 성의 견고한 보루가 되심을 나타내셨습니다.)
When the kings joined forces, when they advanced together, they saw her and were astounded； they fled in terror.
(여러 왕들이 연합하고 함께 전진할 때, 그들은 그 성을 보고 놀라 두려움에 사로잡혀 도망쳤습니다.)
Trembling seized them there, pain like that of a woman in labor.
(그곳에서 그들은 떨림에 사로잡혔으며, 해산하는 여인 같은 고통이 그들에게 임했습니다.)
You destroyed them like ships of Tarshish shattered by an east wind.
(주께서 동풍에 산산조각 나는 다시스의 배들처럼 그들을 멸하셨습니다.)
As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD Almighty, in the city of our God: God makes her secure forever. Selah
(우리가 들은 그대로 만군의 여호와의 성, 우리 하나님의 성에서 보았습니다. 하나님께서 그 성을 영원히 굳게 세우십니다. 셀라)
Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love.
(오 하나님, 우리가 주의 성전 안에서 주의 변함없는 사랑을 묵상합니다.)
Like your name, O God, your praise reaches to the ends of the earth； your right hand is filled with righteousness.
(오 하나님, 주의 이름과 같이 주의 찬송이 땅 끝까지 미치며, 주의 오른손은 정의로 가득합니다.)
Mount Zion rejoices, the villages of Judah are glad because of your judgments.
(주의 심판으로 인해 시온 산이 기뻐하고, 유다의 마을들이 즐거워합니다.)
Walk about Zion, go round her, count her towers, consider well her ramparts, view her citadels, that you may tell of them to the next generation.
(시온을 둘러 행하며, 그 주변을 돌고, 그 망대들을 세어 보십시오. 그 성벽을 자세히 살피고 그 보루들을 살펴 다음 세대에게 전하십시오.)
For this God is our God for ever and ever； he will be our guide even to the end.
(이 하나님은 영원토록 우리의 하나님이시며, 끝까지 우리를 인도하실 분이십니다.)
