The Fate of The Wicked
(악인의 운명)

Why do you boast of evil, you mighty man?
(권세 있는 자여, 어찌하여 악을 자랑하는가?)

Why do you boast all day long, you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God?
(하나님의 눈앞에서 수치가 되는 자여, 어찌하여 온종일 자랑하는가?)

Your tongue plots destruction； it is like a sharpened razor, you who practice deceit.
(속임수를 일삼는 자여, 네 혀는 파괴를 꾀하며 날카롭게 간 면도칼과 같구나.)

You love evil rather than good, falsehood rather than speaking the truth. Selah
(너는 선보다 악을, 진리를 말하기보다 거짓을 사랑하는도다. 셀라)

You love every harmful word, O you deceitful tongue!
(속이는 혀여, 너는 해로운 모든 말을 사랑하는구나!)

Surely God will bring you down to everlasting ruin:
(참으로 하나님께서 너를 영원한 멸망으로 끌어내리시리니,)

He will snatch you up and tear you from your tent；
(그가 너를 붙잡아 네 장막에서 뽑아내시고,)

he will uproot you from the land of the living. Selah
(산 자의 땅에서 네 뿌리를 뽑아 버리시리라. 셀라)

The righteous will see and fear； they will laugh at him, saying,
(의인들이 이를 보고 두려워하며 그를 비웃어 말하기를,)

“Here now is the man who did not make God his stronghold
(“보라, 이 사람이 하나님을 자기의 요새로 삼지 아니하고)

but trusted in his great wealth and grew strong by destroying others!”
(자기의 큰 재물을 의지하며 남을 해침으로 스스로 강해진 자로다!”)

But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God；
(그러나 나는 하나님의 집에 푸르게 자라는 올리브나무 같아서,)

I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever.
(영원무궁토록 하나님의 변함없는 사랑을 의지하리로다.)

I will praise you forever for what you have done；
(주께서 행하신 일로 말미암아 내가 영원히 주를 찬송하겠고,)

in your name I will hope, for your name is good.
(주의 이름이 선하므로 주의 이름을 바라리이다.)

I will praise you in the presence of your saints.
(주의 성도들 앞에서 주를 찬양하겠습니다.)
