A Prayer Appealing for Mercy
(긍휼을 호소하는 이유)

Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for in you my soul takes refuge.
(하나님이여 내게 은혜를 베푸소서 내게 은혜를 베푸소서 내 영혼이 주께로 피하나이다.)

I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.
(주의 날개 그늘 아래에서 이 재난이 지나기까지 피하리이다.)

I cry out to God Most High, to God, who fulfils his purpose for me.
(내가 지존하신 하나님께 부르짖음이여 곧 나를 위하여 모든 것을 이루시는 하나님께로다.)

He sends from heaven and saves me, rebuking those who hotly pursue me； Selah God sends his love and his faithfulness.
(그가 하늘에서 보내사 나를 삼키려는 자의 비방에서 나를 구원하실지라 (셀라) 하나님이 그의 인자와 진리를 보내시리로다.)

I am in the midst of lions； I lie among ravenous beasts - men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.
(내 영혼이 사자들 가운데에서 살며 내가 불사르는 자들 중에 누웠으니 곧 사람의 아들들 중에라 그들의 이는 창과 화살이요 그들의 혀는 날카로운 칼 같도다.)

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens； let your glory be over all the earth.
(하나님이여 주는 하늘 위에 높이 들리시며 주의 영광이 온 세계 위에 높아지기를 원하나이다.)

They spread a net for my feet - I was bowed down in distress.
(그들이 내 걸음을 막으려고 그물을 준비하였으니 내 영혼이 억울하도다.)

They dug a pit in my path - but they have fallen into it themselves. Selah
(그들이 내 앞에 웅덩이를 파놓았으나 자기들이 그 중에 빠졌도다. 셀라)

My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast； I will sing and make music.
(하나님이여 내 마음이 확정되었고 내 마음이 확정되었사오니 내가 노래하고 내가 찬송하리이다.)

Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
(내 영광아 깰지어다 비파야, 수금아, 깰지어다 내가 새벽을 깨우리로다.)

I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations； I will sing of you among the peoples.
(주여 내가 만민 중에서 주께 감사하오며 뭇 나라 중에서 주를 찬양하리이다.)

For great is your love, reaching to the heavens； your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
(무릇 주의 인자는 커서 하늘에 미치고 주의 진리는 궁창에 이르나이다.)

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens； let your glory be over all the earth.
(하나님이여 주는 하늘 위에 높이 들리시며 주의 영광이 온 세계 위에 높아지기를 원하나이다.)
