A Plea for Deliverance from Enemies
(원수들로부터 구원을 호소함)

Deliver me from my enemies, O God； protect me from those who rise up against me.
(나의 하나님이시여, 내 원수들에게서 나를 건지시고, 나를 치려고 일어나는 자들에게서 나를 보호하소서.)

Deliver me from evildoers and save me from bloodthirsty men.
(악을 행하는 자들에게서 나를 건지시고, 피 흘리기를 좋아하는 자들에게서 나를 구원하소서.)

See how they lie in wait for me! Fierce men conspire against me for no offence or sin of mine, O LORD.
(보소서, 그들이 내 생명을 해하려고 엎드려 기다리고 있나이다! 여호와여, 나의 허물이나 죄 때문이 아님에도 강한 자들이 모여 나를 치려 하나이다.)

I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me.
(내가 아무런 잘못이 없으나, 그들은 달려와서 나를칠 준비를 하나이다.)

Arise to help me； look on my plight!
(깨어 일어나 나를 도우시고, 나의 이 비참한 상황을 돌보소서!)

LORD God Almighty, the God of Israel, rouse yourself to punish all the nations； show no mercy to wicked traitors. Selah
(만군의 하나님 여호와, 이스라엘의 하나님이시여, 일어나 모든 이방 나라들을 벌하소서. 악한 배신자들에게 아무런 자비를 베풀지 마소서. 셀라)

They return at evening, snarling like dogs, and prowl about the city.
(그들은 저녁마다 돌아와서 개처럼 으르렁거리며 성안을 두루 돌아다닙니다.)

See what they spew from their mouths - they spew out swords from their lips, and they say, “Who can hear us?”
(보소서, 그들이 입에서 악독을 토해내며, 그들의 입술에는 칼이 있어 말하기를 “누가 들으리요?” 하나이다.)

But you, O LORD, laugh at them； you scoff at all those nations.
(그러나 여호와여, 주께서 그들을 비웃으시며, 그 모든 이방 나라들을 조롱하시리이다.)

my Strength, I watch for you； you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God.
(나의 힘이시여, 내가 주를 바라보나니, 하나님은 나의 요새이시며 나를 사랑하시는 하나님이십니다.)

God will go before me and will let me gloat over those who slander me. (하나님께서 그 인자하심으로 내 앞에 행하시며, 나를 비방하는 자들이 패배하는 것을 내가 보게 하실 것입니다.)

But do not kill them, O Lord our shield, or my people will forget.
(우리의 방패이신 주여, 내 백성이 잊어버릴까 염려되오니 그들을 당장 죽이지는 마소서.)

In your might make them wander about, and bring them down.
(주의 능력으로 그들을 흩으시고, 그들을 낮추소서.)

For the sins of their mouths, for the words of their lips, let them be caught in their pride.
(그들의 입술의 말과 입의 죄로 인하여, 그들이 부르짖는 저주와 거짓말 때문에, 그들이 자신들의 교만 중에서 사로잡히게 하소서.)

For the curses and lies they utter, consume them in wrath, consume them till they are no more.
(진노하심으로 그들을 멸하시되, 없어지기까지 진노로 멸하소서.)

Then it will be known to the ends of the earth that God rules over Jacob. Selah (그리하시면 하나님이 야곱을 다스리심이 땅끝까지 전파되리이다. 셀라)

They return at evening, snarling like dogs, and prowl about the city.
(그들은 저녁마다 돌아와서 개처럼 으르렁거리며 성안을 두루 돌아다닙니다.)

They wander about for food and howl if not satisfied.
(그들은 먹을 것을 찾아 유리하다가 배를 채우지 못하면 밤을 지새우며 부르짖을 것입니다.)

But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love； for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.
(그러나 나는 주의 힘을 노래하며, 아침에 주의 인자하심을 높이 부르오리니, 주님은 환난 날에 나의 요새이시며 나의 피난처이심이니이다.)

my Strength, I sing praise to you； you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God. (나의 힘이시여, 내가 주께 찬송하오리니, 하나님은 나의 요새이시며 나를 사랑하시는 하나님이십니다.)
