The Reasons to Praise God
(하나님을 찬양하는 이유)
O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you； my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
(오 하나님, 주는 나의 하나님이시니, 내가 간절히 주를 찾습니다. 물이 없는 메마르고 지친 땅에서 내 영혼이 주를 목말라하며, 내 육체가 주를 간절히 사모합니다.)
I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.
(내가 성소에서 주를 바라보며 주의 권능과 영광을 보았나이다.)
Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.
(주의 인자하심이 생명보다 나으므로 내 입술이 주를 찬양할 것이라.)
I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.
(내가 사는 동안 주를 송축하며, 주의 이름으로 내 손을 들겠나이다.).
My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods； with singing lips my mouth will praise you.
(내 영혼이 기름지고 풍성한 음식으로 만족함 같이 만족할 것이며, 기쁨의 노래를 부르는 입술로 내 입이 주를 찬양하리로다.)
On my bed I remember you； I think of you through the watches of the night.
(내가 침상에서 주를 기억하며, 밤의 모든 파수의 시간 동안 주를 묵상하나이다.)
Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings.
(주께서 나의 도움이 되셨으므로, 내가 주의 날개 그늘에서 기쁨으로 노래합니다.)
My soul clings to you； your right hand upholds me.
(내 영혼이 주를 굳게 붙들며, 주의 오른손이 나를 붙드시도다.)
They who seek my life will be destroyed； they will go down to the depths of the earth.
(내 생명을 빼앗으려 하는 자들은 멸망할 것이며, 땅 깊은 곳으로 내려갈 것이라.)
They will be given over to the sword and become food for jackals.
(그들은 칼에 넘겨져 자칼들의 먹이가 될 것이라.)
But the king will rejoice in God； all who swear by God’s name will praise him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced.
(그러나 왕은 하나님 안에서 기뻐할 것이며, 하나님의 이름으로 맹세하는 모든 사람은 하나님을 찬양할 것이나, 거짓말하는 자들의 입은 막히리로다.)
