Comparison Between the Proud and the Wise
(거만한 자들과 지혜로운 자들의 비교)
"Whoever corrects a mocker invites insult； whoever rebukes a wicked man incurs abuse.
("조롱하는 자를 훈계하는 자마다 모욕을 자초하고, 악한 사람을 꾸짖는 자마나 비난을 자초하느니라.)
Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you； rebuke a wise man and he will love you.
(조롱하는 자를 꾸짖지 말라, 그렇지 않으면 그가 너를 미워할 것이라, 그러나 지혜로운 사람을 꾸짖으라 그러면 그가 너를 사랑할 것이라.)
Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still； teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning.
(지혜로운 사람을 교훈하라 그러면 그가 훨씬 더 지혜로와 질 것이라, 그리고 의로운 사람을 가르치라 그러면 그가 그의 학식이 더해 질 것이라.)
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
(여호와를 두려워하는 것이 지혜의 시작이며, 거룩한 자를 아는 것이 깨달음이라.)
For through me your days will be many, and years will be added to your life.
(왜냐하면, 나 지혜를 통하여 너의 날들이 많아질 것이고 해들이 너의 생명에 더해 질 것이기 때문이라.)
If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you； if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer."
(만약 네가 지혜롭다면, 너의 지혜가 너에게 보상할 것이며, 하지만 만약 네가 조롱자라면, 너 홀로 고통을 받을 것이라.")
