The Tongue of the Wise and the Mouth of the Fool
(지혜로운 자의 혀와 미련한 자의 입)
A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
(부드러운 대답은 분노를 물리치나, 거친 말은 화를 불러 일으키느니라.)
The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly.
(지혜로운 사람의 혀는 지식을 권하여도, 어리석은 자의 입은 어리석음을 쏟아 내느니라.)
The eyes of the LORD are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.
(여호와의 눈은 모든 곳에 있으니, 악한 자들과 선한 자들을 지켜보시느니라.)
The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.
(치유를 가져오는 혀는 생명의 나무이나, 속이는 혀는 정신을 짓밟느니라.)
A fool spurns his father's discipline, but whoever heeds correction shows prudence.
(어리석은 자는 그의 아버지의 훈육을 업신여기나, 책망에 귀를 기울이는 누구라도 신중함을 보이느니라.)
The house of the righteous contains great treasure, but the income of the wicked brings them trouble.
(의로운 사람의 집은 엄청난 보물을 보유하나, 악한 자들의 수입은 그들에게 역경을 가져오느니라.)
The lips of the wise spread knowledge； not so the hearts of fools.
(지혜로운 사람의 입술은 지식을 전파하나, 어리석은 자의 마음은 그렇지 못하느니라.)
