The Lord Looks into the Heart
(여호와는 마음을 살피신다)
The LORD detests the sacrifice of the wicked, but the prayer of the upright pleases him.
(여호와는 악한 자의 제물을 미워하시나, 정직한 자의 기도는 그를 기쁘시게 하느니라.)
The LORD detests the way of the wicked but he loves those who pursue righteousness.
(여호와는 악한 자의 길을 미워하시나, 그는 의로움을 추구하는 사람들을 사랑하시느니라.)
Stern discipline awaits him who leaves the path； he who hates correction will die.
(길을 저버린 사람에게는 엄격한 훈육이 기다리며, 교정을 미워하는 자는 죽으리로다.)
Death and Destruction lie open before the LORD－－ how much more the hearts of men!
(죽음과 파괴가 여호와 앞에 열려있나니, 그러므로 하물며 더욱 얼마나 사람의 마음은 열려있겠느냐!)
A mocker resents correction； he will not consult the wise.
(조롱하는 자는 교정에 분개하며, 도무지 지혜로운 자에게 자문을 구하지 아니하느니라.)
A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.
(행복한 마음은 얼굴을 생기있게 만들어도, 심적인 고통은 정신을 짓밟느니라.)
The discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly.
(통찰력있는 마음은 지식을 추구하여도, 어리석은 자의 입은 어리석음을 먹느니라.)
All the days of the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast.
(억압받은 사람들의 모는 날들은 끔찍하나, 유쾌한 마음의 사람들은 지속적으로 잔치를 하느니라.)
