Better Be a Poor Man with the Fear of the LORD
(부하지 못해도 여호와를 경외함이 복되다)
Better a little with the fear of the LORD than great wealth with turmoil.
(여호와를 두려워하는 가난한 사람이 되는 것이 큰 부를 가지고 혼란하게 사는 것보다 나으니라.)
Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred.
(사랑이 있는 곳에서 채소를 먹고 사는 것이 미워하며 살진 소를 먹는 것 보다 나으니라.)
A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel.
(성내기를 잘하는 사람은 불화를 일으키나, 인내심있는 사람은 다툼을 진정시키느니라.)
The way of the sluggard is blocked with thorns, but the path of the upright is a highway.
(게으른 자들의 길은 가시로 막히나, 정직한 자의 길은 탄탄대로이니라.)
A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish man despises his mother.
(지혜로운 사람은 그의 아버지에게 기쁨을 가져오나, 어리석은 사람은 그의 어머니를 멸시하느니라.)
